General REDCap Boilerplate (from https://projectredcap.org/resources/citations/)
Study data were collected and managed using REDCap electronic data capture tools hosted at the University of Southern California.1,2 REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) is a secure, web-based software platform designed to support data capture for research studies, providing 1) an intuitive interface for validated data capture; 2) audit trails for tracking data manipulation and export procedures; 3) automated export procedures for seamless data downloads to common statistical packages; and 4) procedures for data integration and interoperability with external sources.

Clinical Data Integration Boilerplate
This project will utilize the Clinical Data Interoperability Services (CDIS) module in REDCap to obtain structured electronic medical record data. The CDIS feature allows an individual REDCap project to interact with the electronic health record (EHR), Cerner, and pull selected information from the EHR into the REDCap project. The CDIS feature is only available to individuals with existing access to Cerner and only allows users to pull data that they already have access to.

This project will utilize KECKCap’s Clinical Data Pull (CDP) feature to import patient data to REDCap from Cerner.
This project will utilize CDIS’s Clinical Data Mart (CDM) feature to import patient data to REDCap. The Clinical Research Informatics staff will enter a list of patient MRNs into the CDM-enabled REDCap project, and EHR data will be fetched in bulk from Cerner. All data elements pulled are pre-defined and set up by a REDCap administrator.
CDP / CDM [select one] must be enabled by a REDCap administrator, who will configure the feature and ensure that only approved data elements are pulled into the REDCap project. The following data elements will be extracted from Cerner using the CDP / CDM [select one] feature: list all data elements here.
