Example of a DHS Research Data Request

We will be asking for the following information. Please be as specific as specific as possible. If you have multiple concepts for your deliverables, please create an excel spreadsheet.

  1. Inclusion Criteria Example: Age < 18, Male, Diagnosed with C61, past 7 years 8/1/2014 - 8/1/2021

    1. Give ICD 9/10 codes for all Diagnosis

      1. Please note that when providing ICD-9/10 codes if you have zeros leading, they may disappear from the excel. What you will want to do is change the settings in the column to text instead of number. For example, if you have 097.5 this may disappear if you do not adjust the settings and it can cause us to give you information for the wrong code.

      2. For multiple codes that fall under a similar diagnosis you can put M32.* meaning M32.01, M32.0, M32.123 ... all will be included. If you also need to include M32.0 you can not just say M32, please specify M32.0

      3. If you are also requesting Lab data for USC Keck please use LOINC codes https://athena.ohdsi.org/search-terms/terms/4265167. Please contact Daniella Garofalo @Garofalo, Daniella daniella.garofalo@med.usc.edu regarding Keck data.
